Welcome to Discover the World Education. With 30 years’ experience organising worldwide educational and adventure travel, you can trust us to supply safe, quality tours that are informative and enjoyable for all members of your group. Bringing education to life is only limited by the imagination. Our trips not only provide fantastically rewarding and memorable excursions from school, but also enhance the curriculum and ultimately, help inform and motivate students.
We specialise in trips to a relatively small number of countries including Iceland, Italy, the Azores and China and that is why you’ll be fully supported throughout the booking process by your own dedicated Education Travel Specialist.
Our school trips offer students unique opportunities for experiential learning through unforgettable encounters. Your students will benefit from lasting memories and impressions of some incredible locations and experiences, bringing to life important topics taken directly from the curriculum.
Geography, quite simply, is about the world we live in. One of the best ways to study geography therefore, is to leave the classroom to experience everything our world has to offer. Throughout this website you will find curriculum links to our destinations. We have also worked with a number of leading geography teachers and the Geographical Association to bring you a brand new website, discover-geography.co.uk. Completely free for teachers, the website allows you to access and share a variety of classroom and fieldwork resources related to our destinations.Discover more
Considering the opportunities for cross-curricular study can be particularly helpful when trying to increase numbers on your tour, or gain permission for a trip. We have a range of suggested tours in Iceland and Costa Rica which cater for science school trips. Our Iceland tours include comprehensive biology work booklets, providing students with a variety of exercises linked to your curriculum. The Azores is ideal for biologists, with unique flora and fauna, whilst Italy is perfect for a cross-Humanities study trip – Herculaneum, for example, features 2,000 year old buildings and artefacts preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.Discover more
All of our tours can include an element of adventure. Whether the aim of your trip is to study and help initiate personal development, we can offer a number of tailor made options to suit your group. For 2014/15 we have a number of new Iceland adventure suggested itineraries, which include hiking in the country’s magnificent highlands, river rafting, glacier walking and feasting on barbecued Icelandic lamb under the midnight sun. We’ve a range of unforgettable activities right across the globe: trek through some of the world’s most spectacular scenery in New Zealand, Norway, Morocco or the Azores; tackle the frothing white-water of Costa Rica or Sicily; camp under the desert stars in Morocco or surrounded by jungle in Costa Rica; take a once-in-a-lifetime cruise to see the delights of China’s Yangtze River or the Antarctic Peninsula.Discover more
