Gustavus Inn provides 14 guestrooms in an historic homestead settled on the grassy Salmon River meadow and overlooking Icy Strait. Family run for three generations, visitors are welcomed with unsurpassed hospitality and assisted to make the most out of their time in Glacier Bay.
With local transfers (including a National Park guided walk), hiking maps, bikes, kayaks and fishing poles available, the family is happy to help arrange Glacier Bay cruises, whale-watching and flight-seeing over this picturesque region. A fire crackling in the cosy hearth and a naturalist library are excellent places to relax and conversation over dining, family-style, is bound to be lively after a day of exploring.
The small bar offers a selection of locally brewed beers and wines, so that you can savour the flavours of Alaska. Meals combine freshly grown produce with freshly caught crab, salmon and halibut as well as local favourites such as hearty sourdough bread.
Wifi is available throughout the inn and comfortable new guestrooms offer queen or twin beds with private bathrooms. Gustavus is accessible by ferry or by air and we can offer a 2-night package at the Inn.
