Introduction

With 59 rooms Harbour Rocks Hotel is a 150 year old heritage building in the heart of Sydney. Built on the site of one of the city's first hospitals and constructed by twelve convict carpenters along with sixteen hired men, this hotel offers a fascinating glimpse into Sydney's past.

Decorated in classical tones and complimented by soft lighting, the hotel offers various room types with modern amenities, including high-speed internet access and 21 LCD televisions whilst still preserving the historic setting of the building. And instead of switching on the air conditioning, we highly recommend throwing open your window and enjoying the tranquil harbour breeze.

It is a unique base from which to experience the city today, perfectly blending local history with modern comfort. The cosy bar overlooks the cobblestone lanes of The Rocks and the restaurant offers dining outside on the courtyard terrace to take advantage of those lovely Australian evenings. The city's harbour, Opera House and Rocks precinct are located on your doorstep, making this an ideal place from which to explore.
