Introduction

Discreetly hidden amongst the natural bush of Kangaroo Island, this thirty-three room retreat brings wildlife right to your doorstep. The courtyard is frequently visited by friendly wallabies, possums and echidnas and the island is home to approximated 255 different species of bird alone, which is yours to explore.

Continuing to build a reputation for excellence for its personalised service, elegant accommodation, superb food and wine and most of all, a unique wilderness experience, the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat brings visitors back to nature but with all the comforts of the 21st century.

When not out exploring the area, the retreat offers plenty of space in which to relax, including a games room, a library and a sun deck. The restaurant is fully licensed and offers quality meals accompanied by flavourful Australian wines, or you can settle into the bar for a pint before heading in for the night.
