Stay in stunning Finnish Lapland, home to a cosy lodge and a husky farm.

Located in the northeast of Finland, in the area of Kuusamo Lapland, Saija is traditional wooden lodge surrounded by beautiful Finnish scenery.

Soak up the peace and quietness around the lodge, savour delicious home-made meals and enjoy active days outdoors. After an exhilarating day, relax in your private sauna or walk under the crisp winter sky crowded with millions of stars -  and with a bit of luck you might see the northern lights!

The main building houses the homely restaurant and reception area. In separate buildings there are apartment-style guest rooms each with a living area, bedroom, bathroom and private sauna.

With their own husky farm, home to over 100 huskies, dog sledding is an opportunity not to be missed. Opt for a short husky safari, or the more adventurous can experience an overnight safari, during which each guest is responsible for their own dog team. Overnight safaris stay at a wilderness cabin - with no electricity or running water, enjoy a cosy night by a fire, keeping watch for the aurora.

Snow-laden forests, lakes and rivers offer excellent opportunities for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Various trails lead through the winter landscape to campfires, the ideal place for a lunch stop. Or for something faster, experience the thrill of snowmobiling through forests, over swamps and lakes and up hills for breathtaking views.
