Type: Hotel

Grade: Superior

Introduction

Centrally located Hotel Thingholt is found next to Reykjavik's main shopping street, Laugavegur, and offers 52 different guestrooms. The building, which originally accommodated the Isafold printing factory in 1943, has now been converted into an exclusive design hotel and is a great example of Icelandic contemporary design.

Each of the 52 rooms is en suite and demonstrates the hotel's sleek and contemporary style that is designed by the unique wilderness and geology of the island. Free wireless internet is standard throughout and you can choose between a Standard Room, a Deluxe Room, a Junior Suite or an elegant Loft Suite.

The Domo restaurant is directly adjacent to the hotel and features a unique fusion of classical French and intriguing Asian cuisines. A much-heralded favourite of the city, we encourage all visitors, not only guests of the Hotel Thingholt, to sample their one-of-a-kind menu.
