Volcano Hotline

For many years we’ve been sending our clients to experience the splendour of Iceland’s volcanic landscape - cone shaped mountains, abundant geothermal features, curious lava formations and from time to time, live eruptions!

The most recent volcanic eruption in Iceland was at the Holuhraun crater in the central Highlands. This spectacular lava eruption lasted six months from late August 2014 to the end of February 2015.

Volcano Sightseeing Flights

Due to the remote Highland location of this recent eruption, scenic flights offered the best way to view the lava and continue now for those wanting to witness the vast eruption site. These excursions can be incorporated into any of our other fly drive or tailor made holidays in Iceland, subject to availability. Please contact our team to make the arrangements.
