In the heart of Lapland, on the banks of the Lainio River, Kangos Guesthouse comprises four traditional log houses, which are over 100 years old and have been beautifully restored. Run by owners Johan and Eva Stenevad, who offer friendly and welcoming hospitality with excellent service and attention to detail, this is the ideal place for a winter getaway.
There are just nine rooms in total, including 3 new superior rooms. Each of the rooms are individually furnished with their own character. The 4 standard rooms with shared facilities are located in the main building; there are two rooms with own en suite bathroom in a separate cabin just a few metres away from the restaurant building and now 3 larger superior rooms with private facilities. Please note, one of the superior rooms has a small kitchenette and a separate shower room next door.
The real heart and soul of the guesthouse is the Lounge House with a beautiful sitting area where you can relax around the open fire and share stories with fellow guests. Enjoy traditional local dishes in the dining room with its magnificent view of the Lainio River.
To relax body and mind there is a traditional log sauna as well as an outdoor hot tub with stunning views by the river which is open for guests between 4pm and 7pm. it is possible to book this for provate use after dinner at an additional charge.
