Introduction

A beautifully restored 1890s historic residence, McHardy Lodge now offers 6 rooms of delightful character and charm.

Constructed with a wealth of rich Kauri timber and antique furnishings, the atmosphere of this lodge exudes luxury and warmth. Found in a quiet residential cul-de-sac on Napier Hill, it is just a short 5-minute drive from the Art Deco centre of the city and within easy walking distance of the famous Napier Botanical Gardens.

The Lodge is ideally located for exploring the wineries of Hawke's Bay, for the golf enthusiast, for the cycle trails or for the bird watchers at the Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers. For the less energetic the outdoor swimming pool, lounging deck, gardens and several verandahs with stunning views provide the ideal relaxation to recharge your batteries. In the evenings the many great restaurants of Napier are within a five minute drive. The owner will personally assist with the booking of restaurants and any other activity you may wish to enjoy.

The Lodge provides complimentary drinks before dinner and a full a la carte breakfast menu comprising fresh locally produced ingredients.

All super king deluxe suites and standard queen rooms are well-proportioned and uniquely decorated with luxury linens and antique furnishings. All rooms are en suite, with either antique roll top or deep tub baths or showers.
