Type: Hotel

Grade: Superior

Introduction

Centrally located on Marine Parade in Napier, the hotel has 109 rooms all looking out to Hawke's Bay.

When not exploring the living art gallery that is Napier's art deco architecture, guests can explore the city's natural surroundings on horse back, while trout fishing, or on a kayaking or sailing excursion. The Cape Kidnappers gannet colony is within easy reach and there are plenty of safaris available from Napier to take guests out to these incredible birds. The Napier prison and surrounding vineyards are also available for touring.

The hotel's Exchange Bar & Brasserie is enclosed by large glass windows which offer fantastic views across the bay. In summer, the Brasserie extends outside for alfresco dining in the balmy Pacific evenings. The Hawke's Bay region is one of New Zealand's richest food and wine producing regions and the Exchange celebrates this with a menu of local, seasonal produce and a large wine list.

All of the guestrooms are en suites and include a TV, hairdryer, mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Many superior rooms interconnect, forming spacious family rooms that sleep up to six people. The one/two bedroom suites on the top floor feature separate bathrooms and living areas.
