Type: Unique

Grade: Superior

Introduction

A collection of 56 cabins located on its own island a short distance from Svolvaer, Lofoten's capital, this group of rorbu cabins are beautifully positioned on the waterfront and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Originally used as houses for the fishermen who made their living in Lofoten's waters, considerable emphasis has been placed on maintaining the original features and time-honoured craftsmanship of these houses. Sheltered by spectacular mountains on one side, and the indigo sea on the other, this accommodation is perfectly suited to enjoying the natural wonders of Lofoten.

The restaurant serves a variety of local fish specialties, while Norwegian schnapps, such as Akvavit, can be enjoyed in the bar and terrace. For those who choose to stay here, there are different accommodation types available. Both standard and luxury cabins are available, which vary from 1 to 3 bedrooms and includes en suite bathrooms. The Vestfjord Suites in the mini-hotel are also available, and come as double rooms, Junior Suites or Suites.
